@mymra Don't be so sure - I've loved this film since I was 15! There's a very real humour to it that few films have (plus, the music is brilliant, and Dame Judi is reliably wonderful) - I think anyone with the slightest notion of what life might have been like in WWII would appreciate that. Add this to the fact that my Gran used to play in a band (although Grandad was a bit more like Patrick by all accounts - sans the dress!) and all it becomes very personal :) Thanks very much for posting it!
