Some years ago, I passed through Germany and had to go through customs. I was carrying my bagpipes with me at the time and the customs officer, I assume, had never seen a set before, waved me over to himself, pointed to the case he had just opened and said "Sir, was ist das?" I went to him, in my only "so so" German and said "dies sind meine Dudelsäcke, werde ich spielen sie für Sie? He looked up in surprise and started quickly shaking his head saying " nine nine, auf Ihrem Weg jetzt Si."
