Atos Origin Belgium - iEHS iPad app for incident management

iPad Application integrated with SAP through Sybase Unwired Plateform.

This app won the SAP world tour "Bits'n Bytes" mobile Jam in Belgium in may 2011.


Main Features of the app

Overview of dangerous goods in your storage locations
Access to classification of substances with critical info on first aid, fire, etc...
Access to PDF version of full MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) that are forwardable by mail
Creation of incidents that will replicate to SAP Incident Management once the network is available again
Data synchronisation from SAP ERP EH&S, WM and MM
Web link to weather conditions including wind direction

Technical Challenges

Integration between iPad device and Sybase Unwired Plateform : SUP is able to generate iOS API to be used directly in the application to manage local DB creation (for offline consultation) and SAP Business object management
Definition of Mobile Business Objects at Sybase level to map SAP EH&S data model
iPad User Experience : gather a lot of information and keep ease of use
