I'm a niners fan. This was a great play by Bavaro, but Lott just didn't get a good low tackling form on him here. Anyone would have dragged Lott in that situation.

BTW, the 49ers may not have the most SB rings (pitt has more), or NFL champs (Giants have more).....but when they play on football's greatest stage, they've ALWAYS WON IT. First team to go 5-0 in superbowls, and will be the first to go 6-0.

Would much rather have that than losing to Cowgirls in '95, or Ravens in '00.

Please don't make excuses for lousy tackling on Bavaro. Bavaro was a beast and believe it or not, he was best as a TE Blocker. There has never been a TE who could block like him

Bavaro may have been hit a few times by Lott, but he owned Ronnie Lott. The only player I can really say ever did. And the only reason Lott took a bad angle to Bavaro here is because if he had hit him straight on the way he did most players, Lott would have been laid out and he knew it.
