the reality of fighting is that if you get a rage filled 300 lbs street thug coming at you, hopped up on coke, and opium so he can't feel pain, that will not work. if you wanna bully lil scronny men though ya go for it, especially in a safe surrounding wearing a fancy gi.

Demo for flash or self defense, why would you roll over the top of an opponent with no control of their body or arm?
-
I think this works just with some adjustment: it´s a demo so it´s not meant to be 100% real, for istance a tall guy should never try kata guruma with a small one, but the small one yes. For the other technics i find them useful as long as one doesn´t wait for them in a passive way: never wait someone grab you to start the defence technic but strike a little before the grab. I think you did well, keep on .... i suggest always to try Thay or MMA where u can try this for real it´s hard but useful

horrivel

self defense means to protect myself so that the enemy can´t hurt me, but thats not subject of the vid, so call it "self defence" is not right, call it show dance or whatever
-
too flashy. Moat of that won´t work in a real fight.

Everyone's a critic...each style of martial-arts has its good points and...less effective
points. there is no "perfect" M.A. everything has a weakness, the idea is to work and mold it to fit your needs in each scenario.

You should try hap ki do.( I spelled that wrong) Hap ki do is very effective and very easy along with one step sparring.

Seen better moves on WWE...
I dont like it, I dont see this could be effective in most cases. And you dont seem to flow...

That's true. It is not ment to be effective. It's ment to be entertaining and flashy.
It's competition karate not street karate. That's why it's entitled "Self Defense DEMO" Not "Practical Street Self Defense."
