Mozart - Ave verum corpus
R. Kubelik
Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ave verum corpus natum de Maria Virgine.
Vere passum immolatum in cruce pro homine:
cujus latus perforatum fluxit aqua et sanguine.
Esto nobis praegustatum mortis in examine.
O Iesu dulcis,
O Iesu pie,
O Iesu Fili Mariae. Amen.

  • I have terminal cancer and find such peace in this beautiful music

  • When I lived in Norway, my choir leader was a big admirer of Mozart, and she made us sing this. If I had a bad day, if I were really down, all my worries and all my frustration would be gone if we sang it. It gave me a way of turning my pain into song in a way I will never experience again. I never knew what the lyrics meant until today when I heard it again and looked it up. This is pure warmth for a soul turned to ice.

  • @PlottingMax when you listen to such music don't you believe in god? you cant write something genial becoz of a chemical reaction in your brain, no...

  • I'm an atheist but I must accept that sacred music and art is lovelly, this piece is one of my favourites and sometimes takes some tears from my heart.

  • im singing this in choir right now

  • THIS IS MORE THAT BEUTY!

  • @mustloveMJ119 I start to cry. Lion King has always been my favorite movie ever since I was a kid.

  • THE LION KING

  • @fenderbassboy Exactly! I am not a big listener of classical music, but in my opinion it has a much more powerful way of expressing emotion. Now and again I come across a piece of classical music that - like this one - reaches deep. Way deeper than popular music.

  • luv it! im in my high school orchestra & i personally think that this song & Brook Green Suite by Gustav Holst (all 3 movements: Prelude, Air, & Dance) r going to be the best songs we'll play in our winter concert! Wish us luck!

ps-Mr. VanDyke & Mrs. Mickey r 2 awesome orchestra conductors!
