  • @LilyOfTheValley1911 this is because there have been isolated cases where certain cellphones emit a signal that interferes with the autopilot function. The worst part for this to happen is during takeoff and landing as these are the most delicate phases of flight.

  • Nice landing!!

  • cant wait for dec to fika and i do this!!

  • umm, its not all elecronic devices. its only those with a radio transmitter. do you know that annoying sound you get when you put the phone next to a speaker or TV? the pilots get the exact same thing in their ears. its because the difference in the freaquency of the radio waves is so miniscule, that one device interrupts another. especially true when dealing with sensitive equipment, like everything on a plane.

ps: sorry for the late response :(

  • love kenya

  • Man i cant wait for the day i shall jump on the plane again heading home to some arms that realy love me in this world....i realy miss you fandilicious,,,,,soon baby soon.

  • do you really think that KQ KLM BA Virgin Swiss and so on would bring their hundred million dollar babies in just to break them gda727.

  • Good Question.

There are a number of reasons. For one, if you are using something like a walkie-talkie or a radio it can interfere with the comms. Same goes for computers with wireless cards turned on and cell phones. Chances are that you're average camera has none of these so its ok. Hell, last time I was on a flight, there was a PILOT (he was being a passenger though he was in uniform)taking pictures of the landing. So AFAIK there's no problem with pics or video as long as you're safe.

  • why then stuardes tells people to turn off all electronic deviced during rising and landing of a plane?
