Parrots talk by mimicking sounds and phrases they hear in the environment in order to get the attention and affection of humans. • does anybody know about burrowing parrots? if they talk...?

  • my white capped pionus had the same size, the same shape :)

  • Great vid! I too take my macaw outside, wing-clipped and without a harness. Trust me when I say he loves being with me and has never had a desire to fly. Sure he looks up in the sky all the time while we're out but that is his nature. I cannot get the hawks, turkey vultures, or airplanes to stay away all the time so we deal. None have ever even noticed my bird. Keep up the good work!

  • @StangV2 ok you dident call names but saying my comments is irralavent, thats just plain rude,we are adults so im thinking we realize people have different opinions so theres no need to be rude ,yes it it youtube ,it does not mean we cant act like sane people and agree to disagree.it seem like some people use the net to argue or fight,i dont get it,whats the point?at the end of the day we dont even know each other, lol

  • @thermiscira WTF?? Where did i call names? I gave my opinion. As did you. how did we now get to names and lame this etc etc.. But you did raise a point... It is very lame. Welcome to youtube i guess..

  • @StangV2 well my opinion is mine and yours is yours people who can not agree to disagree are just plain lame in my eyes.i dident call you any names or say your comments were irrelavent,so if you really beleive in what your are saying then its no reason to be childish and starts calling names.anyone who trully knows about birds behavior would understand where im coming from.im not saying not to take your pet birds out,im saying while during so its good to make sure that, its safe,no preys around

  • @thermiscira We take our bird every where. A trusting bird is more than happy to not want to bolt or fly. In fact we didnt even clip his wings for the first 6 months. This was done purposely to build trust. it was only when he started flying and landing on the garden wall we started clipping them and reigning him in a bit.. Now he can still fly but not far. At the end of the day the owness is up to the owner or handler to make sure their bird is always safe. Ur comment is irrelative..

  • at 1:50 it seems like shes gonna cry because of at the parot said

  • @mpoertner im speaking as a person who owns parrots and worked in petstores andd a bird lover who reads and observe birds behavior,im not some random person who knows nothing about birds,so you keep believing what you believe and ill keep believing what ive learned,

  • @thermiscira And I'm saying its one in the same if the lady is holding the bird. No one would bring a parrot out unrestrained if its wings weren't clipped. It's not going to get far enough from the lady to worry. I think you're panicking more that that parrot ever would.
