It's personal preference in my opinion. PCGS supposedly get's a higher preimum on E-Bay. I don't know, but I personally like NGC better because of the way the coins are presented in the holder. Both compaines are highly respected in the coin community. Both are very large bussiness and have exceptional graders. NGC is the offical grading service of the ANA (American Numismatic Assoc.) Anyway, It's your "choice". Glad we have a choice in some area's of our lives still...

pcgs is a bit expensive

I've used both PCGS and NGC and I've had painful results back from both on ocassions but you accept that. PCGS have not always responded to enquiries or difficulties experienced with getting coins back from the US to the UK. Furthermore, their slabs for small coins have been very poor quality with fissures in the plastic. NGC have better customer service in my view.
