Hello again everyone. This piece is one that I have had on my 'to learn' list for quite some time but have kept putting it aside in favour of others that I also wanted to tackle. I have been working on all new pieces for the past about 6 or 7 months without a tutor because I wanted to try to improve my reading skills by forcing myself to do it alone, so let's see if you think I have. Anyhow this one is another of Richard Clayderman's and is titled 'Lyphard Melody'. I hope you enjoy it.

I hope I don't give anyone a heart attack with the final segment after the music.. It might be a little frightening for some but it really was quite harmless..

Oh! I included a few background images to cool me down a bit. The temps here where I live in Thailand are really high at the moment; up to 40c in the shade in our outside kitchen. Not much better inside the house.

I would like to dedicate this clip to all of the brave and selfless people (given the name RED SHIRTS) who are demonstrating and rebelling against the present 'illegitimate' government in an attempt to restore democracy to our country. Many were ruthlessly murdered and hundreds were injured in the streets of the capital by military thugs yesterday and last night. My heart goes out to their loved ones and friends, many of whom have joined them in their battle. This heinous slaughter is destined, I believe, to bring Thailand to the brink of civil war, if not to overflow into just that.

Our world is filled with 'wannabe dictator' fools and those of them who believe they have won here are in for a little enlightening, the hard way. I certainly will not shed a tear 'when' they are brought to answer for their crimes against my people. Let us all pray that others like them, wherever they might be, are also crushed and rendered impotent so our world can finally find peace. Rest In Peace dear 'Brave Hearts'.

  • Ah, so enjoyable to see and hear you play this, and it's great to see you maturing as a musician, really exploring light and shade, and contrast. I agree with the comment about you playing some Debussy ..from about 1860 to 1910 I think was a wonderful period for piano music. All the best, and I hope the weather allows you to cool down soon :-)

  • @ironmonger100 ... Hello dear Shaun, Thanks for your encouraging words, but NO!!!!! the temps here are increasing not decreasing. In our outside kitchen today at 1.00pm it was 41c and when i held the gauge in the sun for about two minutes it shot up to maximum it can go 50c. I really feel very much for our Red Shirt protesters who must stand out in this heat all day. It would surly kill me. But a trillion stars to them for being there.

  • Hi Lalita,

Lovely to see and hear you play again.

You put so much work and effort into your clips. They are great!

You should explore the world of French piano music a little more - Debussy would appeal to you, I'm sure.

The music of Michel Legrand would appeal to you too - perhaps even Henry Mancini and Nino Rota, Rota especially.

    Love to you!

  • @PhillipLWilcher.. Thanks dear Phillip. I will do some research and see what I can come up with.

    Love
