@johnmediaace Ooooh it's Mac only? I'm using Windows. Also tried Wamp but didn't succeed either. I'm now using EasyPHP and testing in my browser outside of Dreamweaver, which works fine for me :)
Anyway thanks for the reply!

Thanks! Very helpful. But I get an error when I live view my php file:
The page "localhost:8888... etc..." was not loaded because Dreamweaver could not find the server "localhost". Please make sure you are connected to the internet and the server name is correct.
I got this error too when I tried it without the 8888. Should I use a different number? Where can I find the number?

@nusaik Hey buddy, I can shoot you this link to make sure you're using MAMP on Mac.
That link there is the download to MAMP and you download the version on the left which is the personal web server version that is free to run on your own system. Once you have this downloaded and added the file in your Applications folder you simply open up MAMP like any other application. Once you have it running, you'll see the welcome to MAMP screen. Have you reached that stage yet?

I've quickly covered off the instructions for setting up a testing server on your local computer for Dreamweaver CS4. The settings in Dreamweaver are explained. Please feel welcome to ask any questions that you may feel haven't been fully explained.
