where did you get the retracts or how did you build them

have you seen the dc3 on ready2fly. it is bigger than the dynam skybus plus has retracts and steerable tail wheel looks impressive hope to get one later this year if they ship to england that is any way it well worth a look

no worries! I was thinking about selling some copies, but i have no idea how to duplicate properly. If i made moulds for epoxy-resin i´m not sure if the material can take the stress. maybe i would have to apply some carbon rovings, etc...
i did contact dynam-rc and asked if they could include it in their kit (and offered to send them the 3d-cad-data in exchange for a new skybus), but nothing happened yet....and maybe never will...

@AskaLooN yes thank you i was asking about the retracts sorry the translor did nt work i must admit they work very well and look good as well thanks for replying so soon sorry for the poor german maybe you should market them im sure there would be a lot of interest in them
I have a Dynam that flies fine out of the box with a 2650 mah 3 cell lipo in the front to add some nose weight. The props are easy to strike on the ground and will chip and crack easily. I was warned that the motor shafts break easily and you should keep some 3mm collets handy to join them back togerther. Have fun and greetings from Newfoundland, Canada!!

now some time has passed and i did further mods. i replaced the stock props with GWS HD 8x4 3-bladed. this adds a lot to the scale factor ;) these props are quite soft, so they bend instead of breaking. i have also applied a finnish airlines livery (glossy silver). overall i am very satisfied with the skybus, my mods and - of course - myself :D
Greetings from Germany!

yeah at first i was comparing the ready2fly-dc3 to the skybus. the decision was not so hard though. the skybus looks much more scale as far as the proportions are concerned. and the skybus was way cheaper! plus i have the ability to do modifications without huge costs and apply my own paint scheme.
they do ship to the UK, at least thats what i know.

so did you build them from scratch or did you have some parts you already had lying around.Well you never know if they will take up the offer would be a shame if they did nt take you up on it as they have just released a new dc 3 in invasion markings with the proper spinners and not the cone type plus a 3 prop blade instead of 2 as on the skybus version looks well impressive saw the photos the other night so i hope dynam start doing some spares to upgrade the skybus sorry this rather long

i didn´t build them at all! i just did the designing on my computer with autodesk inventor 3d CAD. Then the parts were printed (fused deposition modeling) by a stratasys uprint 3d-printer. So basically it was just putting the parts together and adjust the servo throw.
and i agree! dynam could make an even better and more scale-like model if they included the retracts and maybe even the splitflap modification...
Cheers!
