This is my version of Darcy Farrow. Written by Steve Gillette, John Denver recorded it on his Rocky Mountain High albumn, as well as many of his live recordings. I record my videos in my basement, and I'm sorry but the sump pump started up half way through. Kind of gave it the sound of a river. lol!

@GiffordSL. Thank yo so much. I love playing this song. Since posting this video, I have modified the way I play it to be more accurate to the way John Denver actually played it. Not to try and copy him, but to show others how John played it in case they want to learn it that way. Thanks again!

@pickerman4 I can only imagine! I presume that really did happen that way? We had something similar happen here in Stuarts Draft,Va. nearly 30 years ago when local teenage son lost his father and couldnt handle it,and within a week took his own life! In the big picture its best not ask why these things happen,yet you still wonder?

@simonspics1. Thanks! It is a very sad song. I've played it out at certain venues. Every so often I get a gasp, or look when I come to the part where he "puts a bullet through his brain". Lol!
