My latest film. I was listening to nothing but Au Revoir Simone as I was making it, so to some degree it's rubbed off a little bit in the final cut. Wong Kar Wai fans may like it too.
Synopsis: It is essentially concerned with the concept of memory: how and why we acquire it; the way it rationalises our present; how they are triggered and the way we interpret them in hindsight. The character throughout the piece has his mind stuck in the past, over a moment in his life he cannot forget, to the point where he is unable to focus on the present.
I adopted an ambiguous approach a la French nouvelle vague so that the audience can develop their own interpretation of events, especially the ending. I hope this has worked!
Thank you for watching.
This is fucking brilliant.
