Karen Armstrong is a prominent religious scholar of the world. She has written books on the major religions and believes of the people around the world. Tagged by some as a "run away nun" of the Catholic church but it had to be said the she find her 'niche' in what she is doing right now.

Her books are appreciated around the world of Islam (as well as in other religions). She has an un-biased opinion on all of the major religions and associated dogmas. Her recent books about Islam are "Islam - A short history" is well appreciated around the Muslim world.

A critique review of some of the opinions by another well known scholar - "Javed Ahmed Ghamidi" from Pakistan(with an Islamic perspective). The program is aired on Aaj TV with the name "Aaj Islam".
