Basketball players in general used to be more intellignet and more articulate than current players. Blame it on the skyrocket salaries they get paid now. They have no motivation to stay in school these days

I remember watching Drexler in the 1990 Playoffs play some great games (Games 5 and 7 against SA; Game 5 against Phoenix; Games 2 and 4 against Detroit) but also have some of the most horrendous shooting games of his life (the rest of the San Antonio series, especially game 6; Games 3 and 4 against Phoenix).

Now I know why he looked completely fatigued during that playoff run. A newborn baby? That'll do anybody in.

great interview. wow I miss these Chick interviews. The NBA would do wonders to figure out a way to get Spero or someone to interview the players at halftime or prior to the games.
