People die every year of the most rediulous stuff, just look u the darwin awards. Doesnt mean that the stuff is very dangerous, there are just extremely dumb people in this world. Flash floods are very VERY easiliy avoidable.

shot smarrrrrrty, people die every year from flash floods, they come so quickly. do some research

Some could...but mainly it's if you're driving down a roadway and can't see it coming due to trees or something blocking it. Search for the video MIQrSH6LMgA to see what I'm talking about. That flash flood would pick a car up and take it with it, easily. Not too loud of a sound, either...if you were in a vehicle, you'd barely hear anything.

No wonder Dinosaurs are extinct. that stoopid one in the vid clip just stood there eating when the water was coming!

I have just seen your comment, well here's my answer, flash floods comes io different way you see, depending how much water that has been stored just as before it ran off, imagine that you are sleeping as teh rain keeps on pouring till a large lake up on the hill was filled and the soil supporting it breaks down... can you race against the rushing water? as you woke up hearing it is comming? men think about it...

when i was a child we had a 6 foot wall of water hit the front of our house with enough force to knock the door off hinges it filled our house in about 3 min maybe less we had a field about 300 to 400 yards in length and about 200 yards wide in front of our house .....if you were in that field you would have been dead no swimming no running dead
Well, I realized they worked hard on this.
But seriously...seriously?!? That was suckiest "flash flood" I have ever seen. Look up "Kellick Creek Flash Flood." Now THAT is a flash flood worthy enough to kill some dinosaurs. XD

Kellick Creek Flash Flood was pretty cool, we get those here in the Phoenix AZ area, but considering the flash flood I recorded was INSIDE a small museum in the East valley of Phx (Mesa, AZ) and it was set to flash flood every 20 minutes, it's not going to be on the same magnitude.

Look at real videos of real flash floods, people getting killed for trying to drive thru a flooded street, the force of the flash flood knocks cars off the road, so it's nothing to wash a person down the flood area. You should come down here in monsoon season, see the effects of real flash floods. Just don't think you can hear it coming in time to get out of a flood plain when it comes barrelling down the wash.

sorry, but i dont think a flash flood could kill you. look at all the videos, you can see them coming, and hear them miles away. plus even if you were dumb enough to stand there the front wall of water is never that deep. look at the videos.

This video is a mock up of a flash flood in the Mesa Southwest Museum, and here in Arizona and other parts of the southwest, people are killed very year from flash floods. The rainstorm that causes them could have occurred 150 miles away, so you rarely hear them coming. We have a stupid motorist law just because so many people think they can drive thru a flash flood area then get washed away.

It was the first time I'd been there in the past decade. Kinda forgot it was there, but it was very cool. Lots of Dino Bones, and I love their little gator... course, I love reptiles. Glad that Phx Herp Society is helping care for it. :)
