Learn how to export captions for YouTube videos. You can download captions to your computer, email them, or copy and paste them as text. The export dialog also includes a link to the video's caption page on YouTube.

  • It would be nice for YT to allow direct downloading of captions off vids. Also, it would be great if YT would allow people to post translated captions on other videos like video responses - subject to approval of the author, but without needing to find some way to send them your translated file offline, or to copy the video and repost it elsewhere with the separate captions. It would be nice to have captions all addable to the same original video.

    Peace

  • @43470anbetsi the same with me! OMG! It's just impossible to export those captions!!!:(:(:(:( I have been trying all day long. I created beautiful subs and I can't add them. When I click on "upload" in the last step it just doesn't appear!:) And it looks like my computer doesn't recognize the icon of the file with the captions... I've got AllPlayer, should be OK, right? I am so frustrated! Heeeelp, please!

  • Very useful! thank you!

  • I wrote to you a number of times but you simply do not answer. This all Captiontube does not work. The captions are seen in the preview under the video but even after a few days since I placed the captions in the video they are not seen on the video, but they are enclosed to the video in a file. Is it paid for to make them seen? Thanks for you answer.
