Honey Duke and His Uke - 12th Street Rag 1926

22/1/1926 recording of the 12th Street Rag, Fox Trot Ukulele Solo by Honey Duke and His Uke, with (and I am quoting the label here) "intrusions here and there by Honey Duke".
"Honey Duke" aka "The Ukulele Ace" aka Johnny Marvin was a famous ukulele player and singer of the 1920's.

On the other side of this record is the Memphis Blues. You can listen to that one on my channel too.

Later that same year, 1926, Johnny Marvin re-recorded both these tunes as duets with guitar player William Carola for the Victor label. The rest is ukulele history.
