Heavy Rain Playthrough - The Lizard - Golden Finger

The Lizard (Chapter 3) in Heavy Rain. This is a playthrough, not a guide, but I will notify you when I do everything required to get a trophy here in the description OR video title. So maybe that is a guide of sorts...

Even though this is not my first playthrough of this level, I don't know which ending this will get me. So we'll just have to see as I play through.

This playthrough is dedicated to Kira.

Golden Finger - I'll break this down so I don't type a whole lot. :)

Collect (in any order): metal rod (heat untill red using the stove), disinfectant (bathroom), logical tool to remove your finger (knife, hatchet, meat cleaver, pliers).

Use (in this order): disinfect your hand, cut off finger, sauterize on rod.

@mogurface I don't know if the trophy was gold, but I know it's name was 'Golden Finger' that I got from this. Also, how you cut it off has no real impact on the game itself.

(if you want all the trophies you will have to do this again for the Butcher trophy, which I suggest just using the scissors because they're awesome)

How did you do it? Everytime it comes to doing it I tap square repeatedly and the ox goes red and he pulls his hand away. I've slowed breathing, drunk alcohol, disinfected but still the same

That happened to me on one of my playthroughs as well. The only thing I can come up with is that maybe since it takes alot of willpower to cut your finger off, you have to tap square really fast? After doing that playthrough, I hold the controller in one hand, letting me tap faster with my free hand. =/

ok for some reason this isn't working for me. it won't let me cut it off and I'm getting very frustrated because I want to save my song :(

I'm not certain....You take deep breathes first? Bring an object to cut it off with to the table, and set it down before taking a seat? I realize these are obvious, but it's all I can think of. =/

@XxDirtyxXxShiznoxX His son gets kidnapped and the kidnapper is making him do crazy shit to himself in order to get hints on where his son is, so one of em was to cut his own finger off. play the game it's really good
