Sodium chlorate cell v.1

Simple sodium chlorate cell.... Made in 10 min lol

Sodium chlorate is the product of electrollysis...

Things needed:

1/4 cup of salt
2 cups of watter "PURE"
2 carbon rods from Heavy duty batteries or online "EBAY"
1 container "Listerien bottle"
2 9in wire's
1 charger "AC/DC"


Instructions:

1: geta a container like mine and drill or cut 2 holes for the anode and cathode... "The rods :/"

2: take wires and strip 1 1/2 in off and wrap arround the rods...

3: hotglue the wires to the rods....

4: hot glue rods into place

5. fill with water... seperate container and add salt and stir untill all the salt is dissolved into the watter!!!!

6: fill primary container "The mouth wash bottle" with the salt watter....

7: drill or burn or cut a hole into the cap for the gasses to excape so it dont explode XD

8: conect other ends or the wire to an AC/DC charger....

Collecting the Christals .... EASY!!!!

9: place a cup on a flat table.... needs to be able to hold up to 2 or more cups...

10: place a coffee filter over the cup and filter the watter... Do not let the black stuff that collects at the bottom on the filter....

11. let the watter filter through... then place the filter on a hanger or something and wait for it to dry and crystals to form....

12... Scrape the crystals into a pile and mash up into a fine powder and put into storage...

TO TEST MIXTURE!!!!... OR PURITY

--- take 2 table spoons of the Sodium chlorate and 1 tea spoon or powder sugar and mix well!!! then light...... You shoukd get a red is or orange flame :) if its red then its a good batch of sodium chlorate :D

Also it should burn fast not slow :D

Best to use would be a low voltage and High MA

DO NOT USE A CHARGER THAT HAS AN OUTPUT OF A AMP OR MORE!!!! it will gas like crazy and eat up the anode and cathode and could blow up if there is a spark and the hole is small


Remember this is dangerous and never ever ever do this unless you know what da fuck you are doing...I cant stress that enough....

Also 1Gram or more of sodium chlorate in the body can cause problems and could be lethal if the dosage is enough!!!!!

Gasses produced from the Electrolysis "Hydrogen and chlorine" both toxic and dangerous

Alwase do this out side or in a well ventilation area !!!!!!

You stop after A few hours... Like around 30 hours or so and then you let it cool down and ull see crystals form and Gallup the bottom so after you let it cool down for a long time you filter the rest out

@tytrone1234567 Ha nether can i... im working on the body of the rocket and i cant get it light enough.... and im going to need allot of propellant to get it off the ground.... im going to have to run this allot of times for like 2 weeks to get enough Sodium chlorate.... But i might make Black powder rocked but thoes tend to explode on launch.... Or i could go buy KnO3 and make the rocket and use the sodium chlorate and the explosive to blow the rocket apart XD

man you cant make a missile out of no sodium chlorate you need a potassium chlorate cells. potassium chlorate burns faster and its more sensitive

I am just wondering a few things:

- How do I know when to stop the electrolysis and continue to the next step of filtration?

- If I wanted to make a better, more complex cell what would I change? (Besides changing the anode and cathode)
