Katy Hudson Perry interview 30CC

From the 30-CC archives-our interview with singer Katy Hudson. Recorded in October of 2001 at Dubuque Iowa. This was the first interview to air on our show. Recorded during one of Katy's first tours. Also on that tour were Shaun Groves and Bebo Norman. Katy no longer records Christian music and goes by the name Katy Perry, not Hudson. In fact, no less an authority on popular culture than The Onion, refers to Katy Perry as a "pop tart" and gave her current CD a grade of D-. Ouch. To all of you clip researchers-you can ask to use this video but the answer's going to be "No."

It's cute how she said "it's a long tour- it's 3 months"

She just toured for over a year and I saw her last week live, during her song Not Like The Movies she had a lot of the same expressions she has in this.

She is so sweet and true to herself, it's not like every christian has a perfectly christian life, I like that she shows people a "real" christian, but it sucks that a lot of others cut her down for it.
