Citizen Kane: the SCARY COCKATOO cut.

Maybe it's okay on DVD, but seeing this cut in the theater 1. scared the shit out of me 'cause it was loud and in-your-face 2.nearly made many people DEAF.

The first time I saw Citizen Kane it was a late show on tv. The screaming cockatoo kept me awake for the rest of the movie and most of the night as well.

We saw this in Media Studies, and it turns out Orson Welles put the bird in on purpose to wake up everyone so they wouldn't miss the ending.
