This was was sang last year by the Streator Township High School Concert Choir for a special education teacher Cherri French who was retiring after 30 something years of service in the Special Ed department at SHS. I was in the other choir and sitting in audience listening to it almost made me cry and I am a guy so that says something if it was strong enough to almost get to me. But it was indeed a touching moment and I applaud this choir on their interpretation of it as well :) :)!!
@WilliamVanLawson This arrangement is by James E Moore. It was sung recently by a choir when Queen Elizabeth visited Cashel on her state visit to Ireland. This is my favorite arrangement of this ancient Irish prayer.
The second verse is: May the sun make your days bright. May the stars illuminate your nights. May the flowers bloom along your path, your house stand firm against the storm. Repeat chorus. Hope this helps. Check out a very good Irish Choir on Pfizerpfonics.
Please tell me who the music composer for this piece is. There are so many variations of this song. This is one of the most soothing pieces of this song that I like .
