Angry birds is a popular game that has been played by more than a million users. Its an example of a success story by an indy game designer in Europe. Today the plush toys are sold at malls and a version is being planned for an Nintendo handheld.
However I do not care for the game because the control is sloppy, and its for casual gamers who play it on smart phones. As any game developer will tell you, controls should never hinder gameplay. However most of the challenge comes from knowing where to hold your bird, rather than where to aim.
The fact that the camera pans and you can't see where you're aiming doesn't make it any easier. Moreover the game penalizes you whenever you miss...It just like any other casual game that relies on gimics and luck.
Watch my video for a more thorough explanation of the shortcomings of this game.

I totally agree with you. I don't understand why so many people were hooked on this game, when it is largely luck and annoying noises. It doesn't seem like an actual puzzle game to me.
