How to play America guitar riff

A quick run through of how I play this with my band Monkey See. (BTW I mention playing an A chord in this but its a G!).

when he starts saying about the "d" string that rings thorughout the riff, I'm sure that he means the g string, am I getting confused?

Yep, that's right, I was having a funny 5 minutes that day and I should have said G string not D string. Also I refer to an A chord whic is actually a G. My apologies for confusing everyone.

You dont show picking patterns, which kinda makes the video a little pointless, since that is the major part of the lesson and song

@andybltt Having said that you were still correct because the note of the string with the capo on that fret actually brang it up to a D, thats why I thought you said it haha
