@kittykat490 Heh, well, maybe not struggles of the 20s since that was when everyone was enjoying themselves--but yes, this song was originally written in 1936--about a year that the Great Depression was finally ending in America. If anything, this sound here is about the bitterness the woman is feeling towards the man for screwing them up and getting them thrown out during the Depression.

Some of their serious charm comes from the off-key sound of the music and vocals, right? It's been a while since I listened to them so I think I need to retrain my ear to enjoy the dark sound and not sort of get annoyed at the off-key sound.

When Jessica Rabbit did it, it was just sexy... When Rasputina does it, it seems to bring up the serious struggles of the 20s leading into the great depression.
