Floriade, also known as "Australia's celebration of Spring", is an annual flower and entertainment festival held from mid September to mid October in Commonwealth Park, Canberra, Australia's capital city.
Started in 1988 to celebrate Canberra's 75th birthday and Australia's bicentenary of European settlement, it continues to run every year since due to it's success and popularity. Attracting over 300,000 visitors each year, it is currently the largest flower festival in the southern hemisphere.
