FCC Commissioner Michael Copps
"Minority ownership right now is not reflecting the state of minorities in the United States of America. I think it's one of the serious problems we have recently. When you have a country that is one-third minority and then you stop to realize that people of color own 3.26% of all full-power commercial television stations, something seems to be just a little bit out of whack. And when we go around this country of ours with hearings, minorities getting up and complaining about we're so stereotyped when we're on the media.... What about all the positive contributions in the African American and Latino communities? What about the contributions they are making to our country? They complain our issues are not covered, and it gets back in the final analysis to ownership. Ownership does make a difference. And until we do something about the deplorable state of minority and female ownership, we're going to be disserving, I think, this great diverse country of ours."
I agree diversity doesn't work and creates tension and conflict. Its inevedable

I am glad you uploaded this! Proves me right when I say that there isn't enough "Minority" Ownership.....but there's plenty of "MINORITY" STEREOTYPES!
