@tolhouse1609 Was Paul saying that he was still a sinner, unwashed by the blood of Christ? Absolutely not. No more was the author of this song.
But to lose site of the truth- that you were absolutely filthy? To lose site of the fact that you were "saved by grace, and this not of yourselves"? That, my friend, is absolute arrogance.
This song tells that truth in a poetic form. It tells the same truth that Paul did in his second letter to Timothy.

@tolhouse1609 I think it is you who are missing the point. Again, this is PAUL we're talking about. Among the authors of the New Testament, he was the best educated. The most scholarly. And he was undoubtedly 100% committed to Christ. Absolutely a Christian in the best sense of the words. As radical FOR as he had been AGAINST.
And STILL he says "This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all."

que hermosa cancion es toda una alabanza glorificando el nombre del señor alabado seas Dios por todo ....

One of the most beautiful songs ever sung by the Gaither Vocal Band. This is my all time favorite song!

You, once again, miss the point.
1 Timothy 1:15 "This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief"
Note the use of the present, NOT past, tense here. Paul was highly intelligent. The specific use of the present tense was not accidental.

@GamerZombie - again, you are missing the point. If Jesus came to save sinner's, IF you are saved, you are saved from being a sinner. Read 1 John
-
@tolhouse1609 1 Timothy 1:15 "Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst."
We are all sinners saved by Grace. That's the point of the song. To claim otherwise is to run directly counter to God's Word.

awesome..! thanx for posting it! m so blessed! i'm just a sinner...,saved by the GRACE OF GOD!!!
-
this has nothing to do with the subject- I never said I am as talented as they . THE point " is the song theologically correct, NO it is not"
-
simply because that's how the verse is read in KJV
