March 1, 2009 Enumclaw Auction

Ryder up for sale in Enumclaw on March 1, 2009. He went for the high price at the auction that day--$1000. There was a lot of interest in him in spite of the depressed horse market and economy. Only a couple horses went for slaughter. A lot of people refused to sell their horses to the meat buyer and just took the horses home.

In spite of all the warnings I got about buying a horse at auction, buying Ryder at the Enumclaw Auction two years ago has turned out to be one of the best things I ever did in my life. I ride him in drill and on the trails. He is athletic, smart, healthy and social. People frequently comment on how gorgeous he is.

I bought a horse November 2011 from Rons killl pen. She is quite the project but never thought a horse could bond to some quite like she has with me. Its ammazing. Thanks for buying Radar :)
