The Herakles Song (edited version)

The 12 Labours of Herakles! Now in song form!
Note that I am not aiming for perfect pronunciation ... I just need to be able to remember them. And maybe so do you - so maybe that's why you're here. Enjoy!

The labours of Herakles are 12 in all,
But two were discounted so the numbers fall!
Start off the list with the Nemean Lion
The Birds as we know were Stymphalian
Next on the list: the Erymantian Boar
The Cerynitian Hind brings the total to four!
Moving along with the Cretan Bull,
The Mares of Diomedes ate men 'til they were full!
The Belt of Hippolyte
The Apples of the Hesperides
The Capture of Cerberos
The Cattle of Geryon - you're done, almost!
But two were discounted as I said before,
So don't forget which and wherefore!
The Cattle of Augeias - done for dough!
The Lernaean Hydra - help from Ioloas!
Just remember all of these,
'Cause that's the story of Herakles!
