Marin Marais...i think in you master Monsieur Sainte Colombe....in this scene he want play "les Pleurs" of Sainte Colombe... but his sentence does not leave...ufffffff....Chriss

Leider liebe Kalliopurania es ist sehr schwer den Film in Deutschland zu finden.Ich habe bei amazon geguckt,leider nichts!Der film auf Deutsch heißt "die Siebente Seite".

Jean-Pierre Marielle has found the role of a life time. ''Il n'était qu'austérité et colère'' (He was only austerity and anger). Incredible and almost unreal performance by a man who was best known for his roles in yet good French comedies, but who, as Monsieur de Sainte-Colombe, made me believe that he was touched by the hand of God. Bravo Monsieur Marielle!

Could you put the whole film on by any chance, I cannot get a hld of the DVD, the VHS version has alas worn out. I'm surprised this hasn't being re released yet, it's one of the finest French films made.
