@frkenloodles If Marijuana was legal it wouldn't only hurt the pharmaceutical companies, but it would also hurt the cotton industry, the paper industry and potentially the natural gas/oil industry. Marijuana and hemp can be used for many many different things, but it would hurt us economically/politically if it were legal and replaced all these other items. We could then tax weed though and take away money from Cartels.
@baddmaddogg Pharmaceutical companies wouldnt exaclty lose millions because they could sell marijuana (think theres different types of weed) plus alot of people still believe marijuana is dangerous and they dont need to legalize weed they need to decriminalize it
@frkenloodles I believe Marijuana is illegal, because if it wasn't, the pharmaceutical companies would lose millions of dollars. They are also one of the biggest funders to politicians. Have they learned anything from the prohibition of alcohol? Marijuana is the base of all cartel business. If they legalize weed, a big chunk of their business would disolve.
@baddmaddogg Tobacco does kill more people than alcohol but doesnt do the same things as alcohol like you said abuse and stuff like that but tobacco does kill more people
@frkenloodles Tobacco does not kill more people than alcohol. I would like to see what source you pulled that from. It's also not just about the deaths. Alcohol's grasp is on more than just drunk driving fatalities and overdoses. It's also, like I said, responsible for a lot of domestic disputes and spousal abuse. Tobacco and Marijuana does not hold those same properties.
i wonder how weed is illegal but tabaco and alcohol is weed is actually less addicting and less harmful than caffeine wtf man its legal to go to starbucks but illegal to go to a medicinal marijuana dispensary
@jj5098 Do you have any family and loved ones with cancer? If so, Marijuana could help them with their quality of life. It's a natural non-addictive pain killer, it helps them eat while using chemotherapy. It also helps Cycstic Fibrosis patients able to eat more, since they're growth is stunted by their condition. Hemp can make cloths, power cars. No one can ever overdose on marijuana, but alcohol is legal and responsible for more deaths in this country.
The reason why marijuana is illegal is completly economical and political. Back in the day, everything was made from hemp. cloths, paper, cars can even be powered off hemp. hemp and marijuana is also natural pain killers and have powerful medicianl uses. If weed was made legal it would kill pharmeceutical companies, many of which, are politicians biggest funders. weed, if made legal could and would be used for everything, thus, killing competition.
@baddmaddogg marijuana doesnt need to be taxed...too many things are already taxed just decriminalize it so its legal to grow it
