if anyone interested in this type of stuff, theres a FANTASTIC guitarist everyone should check out (even you Mr fastfinger if you havent already). his name is Daniele gottardo. Mr fastfinger and Daniele are my favorite soulful yet speedy guitar players. they need to jam.

my favourite track from whoooole album :) ....
Mike is my number 1 top guitarist ... hope that soon he will be more famous that Steve Vai or Joe Satriani :)
keep rockin' Mika :)
Hmm. perhaps I should compose new Exploding Solo 2.0 now.To show off where I've gone with the guitar playing :) This solo was composed ugh... 2004 if I remember correctly. After that I've come up with an idea or two to go more original ways...

Sounds awesome that bend was truly exotic. This made me realize I need to work on my sound more

Thanks! There's always work to do. Bends and vibratos may seem like basic techniques but I always have to work them. Both are very essential on shaping the tone.

Hey Mr Fastfinger ! I was asking myself : what modes are you using in this track ? Maybe Lydian ? It sounds very original.
IbanezicepOpO 2 years ago 2
@IbanezicepOpO uuh, sorry for the late answer. Yes, it's C Lydian mode basically. But the very beginning of the solo I kind of try to superimpose D mixolydian (the neughbor mode) but the backing bass note C twists everything to C lydian anyways :)
