Sometime before 2003 under United Nation's "OIL-FOR-FOOD" program Ural Factory manufactured five hundred 2WD Urals that were based on the Gear Up Model. These go-anywhere bikes were shipped to Iraq and were supposed to be used by Postal Service and Ministry of Agriculture. Due to the start of the war in 2003 they were never put to use. During the war they were discovered in brand new condition by Coalition Forces and were adopted for transportation needs. These bikes had one-of-a-kind gray finish that was not used on other Ural Models at that time. You can see historic photos of those bikes taken in Iraq at the end of our photo presentation. Inspired by this theme, we asked the factory to reproduce this attractive Gray color using state-of-the-art very durable powder coating refinishing technique. To bring more contrast and paint durability bike frame, powertrain components and various bike details were refinished in powder coated flat black. Our custom Ural is based on a 2011 Gear Up. It has Gray powder coated body finish with black frame and Black powder coated drivetrain. This bike comes with a fine selection of popular accessories that we frequently sell to customers that like touring and off-road functionality and a very special look. Shown with following custom accessories: Forward - Reverse tank shifter, Removable bike windshield with color matched metal fairing, Folding sidecar windshield, H4 Hella headlamp upgrade, Headlamp metal visor, Rear cargo rack and First aid box (same as on "Red October"), Nose cargo rack (same as "Taiga"), Ammo box, Metal/Ceramic IMZ tank emblems, "Easy" Trunk release handle, Sidecar mirror, Wooden floor mat, Rear bumper for sidecar, Sidecar fender rack.
