I've been to Yellowstone twice in the last 4 years (both times in the summer) and have yet to see a single wolf or grizlly bear. Wolves are certainly beautiful animals! I've heard that wolves and grizzles roam all over NW Wyoming.

Go when it's getting cold or already cold. Early in the morning and as the sun sets. Trust me. Been there, done that. It's hard to see them in the summer. They are not out during the day, but if you somehow miss them there is and exhibit close to the west entrance. They're caged wolves (2 packs) and 2 sets of bears. Kind of sad, but that's the only way I got to see them. Good Luck!

Next year I'm going to be visiting Yellowstone for a few days. I hope I see some wolves there.

Thanks so much for the video of the wolves. I hope they are surviving now in 2008. There are those who are trying to allow hunting of the wolves and I'm afraid for their future in Yellowstone. It's not fair. That is why John Denver's last song was about the wild animals, especially the wolves, of Yellowstone. He knew they needed to have our protection if they are to survive.
