In this video, I am showing the problem with the spur gear alignment that I have come across, I'm not sure if everyone's is like that, but mine sure looks bad! I plan to fix this by raising the plastic holder a bit, I'll grind some from the top, and add a shim to the bottom to do that. I should have one complete video showing the upgrades that I've done to mine, instead of a bunch of smaller videos.

Commonly broken plastic parts below, I haven't broken anything else yet. Everything I broke, I repaired using thread and thin CA. I've also rebuilt the towers with sheet aluminum, so mostly, you can repair this car from household parts, except the main gear, but I've been lucky not to strip that, probably because I threadlocked the motor and motor mount, and made the gear mesh tight. You should do the same or else it'll strip easily.

Front C Bracket: (I could see these breaking, and they're hard to repair so might as well buy them)

  • Can you help me on how to setup the blade tracking or pitch on a dynam e razor 450 helicopter with the 2.4ghz transmitter? Can you please post a video? ??

  • @504GENUWINE

    I don't have the 2.4ghz radio, otherwise I would!

Check out my CCPM 120 setup video, it'll show you the linkages, you need to set these up properly first, then you adjust the link lengths to bring the blade tracking into the same plane.

If you search for "how to adjust blade tracking" there are some good videos showing you how to do that as well, it's not radio specific, so those videos will help.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers!

    David.

  • hey i cant change my spur gear could you please make a video on how

  • @random1265

Once you have the diff and spur out, you can just use an allen key to remove the dogbone socket and remove the 2 screws that hold the slipper clutch onto the spur gear, slide it all off and replace. Installation is reverse of removal.

Here's a tip, tape down a couple pieces of paper, and draw out the car where you're taking screws out of, take the screws out, and that's your step #1, draw again for step #2, again for #3, now you can work your way backwards easily!

Cool, thanks for the tip for the sale, that's a good deal, definitely worth it!

Nope, I'm in Canada, Vancouver, I guess it looks like the UK. haha. There's a lot of people from the UK living here tho, friendly bunch, my barber's from Manchester. The world's big, but it's smaller than you'd think.

They say we all know each other through at least 6 people. It's probably true.

    Cheers.

    David.

Hey, that's a great idea for a video, I'd like to make that how-to video, but I might not be able to get to it for another couple weeks.

In the mean time, here's a quick description: Remove the 4 top screws holding the top brace, remove the two motor mount screws on top, remove the bottom 2 screws holding the plastic block that centers the axel, 2 screws holding the diff, remove bumper(1 center screw, 2 screws below), now pull out your diff along with the spur.

I think the spur gear is at an angle on all the cars, it was designed like that. And they all stick out the bottom of the car, and scrape on the ground while driving around.

Everyone needs to put a metal plate there with an indent in it, otherwise the spur will get sand into it and wear down quickly.

Thanks for the tips on the photo. I believe you. It's one vendor, and it's just rebranded a bunch of times.

    Cheers.

    David.
