  • All I can say is second amendment FREEDOM Maryland is still America and every tax paying law abiding citizen should be allowed the wright to protect themselves and family from the scum that infest the streets of Baltimore if u can't get a permit and still carry it's 30 days to 3 years imprisonment first offense I think we should gather in the 10 of thousands in state Capital next year and exercise our right to bear arms

  • that why maryland crime is so high it takes your right to carry. away i don't know why maryland is so dumm .it whould cut down crime and the state can make money on cc permits or open carry.

  • we are in the same boat here in New Jersey. It's not bad idea to have a rally yearly, it's better than nothing. Let us know how this year goes, if you see an improvement, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • Join the next rally! July 17, 2010: Maryland Shall Issue Rallies For Self Defense In Annapolis. From 12:00 p.m. (noon) until 6:00 p.m., an Open Holster Rally will take place on the waterfront in downtown Annapolis

The event, sponsored by Maryland Shall Issue, seeks to publicize the unequal granting of permits as overwhelmingly granted to politically connected and wealthy individuals, while most others are denied permits.

  • The news anchor kinda of mis-represented the law. In Maryland, open carry and concealed carry are treated the same. In order to apply for a carry permit, you must either 1) carry valuables or serve warrants as part of your job, 2) have three documented threats against your life (with associated police reports) or 3) have been a victim of a violent crime. So basically you have to be a victim before you can carry.

  • I support this effort 911 is for the looser and criminal have the upper hand here in Maryland, many other states 29 to be excact trust me to arm myself while in those states as anon resident!
