  • I just discovered your channel today and I admire you. It's great to know that there are other organized young women out there. What I would love to know is, where did you get your recipe book holder? The grooves in the wood in combination with the section of Plexiglas (or plastic) seems like a fantastic combination. I've been looking for a book holder for a long time and quite hate everything I've found. I'd love to know the brand if you have time to share. Thanks!

  • @iheartbooks87 I registered for it as a wedding gift 6 years ago. It was from Williams-Sonoma (not sure if they still have it). It's actually glass and wood.

  • Such wonderful vids! I need you at my house when I have Thanksgivings with 25 people! I was wondering if you also plan music or games, or movies or sports to be the entertainment.--- or instead just let everyone talk? I sooo admire how pretty you looked before the party. I always say that my sisters look beautiful in holiday photos and there I am with no makeup and wild hair because I was cooking all day before they came, thus they look at my pix and say,"Why don't you wear any makeup"?Geez!!!

  • @VintageChrystelle I generally don't plan games at family parties, because everyone likes to talk, although someday soon I hope to host a Pictionary or Charades party. We have thrown a few movie parties, because we have a really nice mini movie-theatre type of set-up in our basement. At Thanksgiving I always invite people over at 2 for snacks and to start watching the games (we typically eat at 5). At other times we might have important sports events on the TV on mute to satisfy the crowd.

  • I love love love these two videos Jen! I think the party planning tips are excellent!!! I too am very anxious when it comes to preparing for parties and like yourself over the years have slowly mastered the art of staying calmer and not running around like a red hot chillie pepper! I live in Greece and Greeks like their food and social events and the whole secret is being organized which you are very much so! Your house looks amazing and I am sure all your guests look forward to this every time.

  • @aberdesign Thanks for the sweet compliments. I've always wanted to go to Greece - what a beautiful place!

  • Just started watching your channel. I suffer from ADHD & Generalized Anxiety & have been on & off meds for too many yrs to count. As I was watching your video jusk knowing you still had to wake up & make cup cakes my heart started racing. Then when you only had 20 min left before the party started & you were vlogging...I would have been freaking out. I don't know how you do it but I pray one day I can be as organized & calm as you. : )

  • You should post pictures or some video of the party.

  • It is nice to see I am not the only one who follows your routines. I also have severe anxiety disorder and I have learned over the last three years to keep myself organized which helps me to stay balanced. I now lean on anything that will help me to do this. It works for me !!! If I have a busy day I always write a To Do List and I will not deviate from it. BTW... I love serving little quiches and fresh fruit for my brunches. Your videos have been a blessing to me. TFS
