After returning to Huancayo, I started one of the most difficult segments of my expedition.

The Iscachoka - Ayacucho mountain pass, five days on nothing but dirt, high, narrow cliffs, doing battle against the elements, and seeing spectacular scenery of Peru's Andean Mountain Range.

But before I did that, something happened, and a vital piece of equipment was stolen.
