  • whats the name of the first song they sing?

  • It's a bit of "Tiger By The Tail", an old Buck Owens song.

  • Oh come on now!! Everybody knows today's rappers are more talented than

    these two...NOT!!

  • I totally agree with you. I am Black also, and I have listened to Glen Campbell for many many years. He is one hellv'a musician. This is a duet among two very great and talented entertainers. This is an absolutely beautiful combination of talent. And yes, they both have soul. Peace

  • Nothing like a country guy and soulful dude singing Bob Dylan.

  • @rjam1974 Thanks very much for your reply, it is really helpful to have some more context for this indeed amazing performance.

  • @lumdeloo Its an amazing performance and you have consider this was done less than a year after MLK got assassinated and several months before this performance RFK was assassinated and the Vietnam War was in full force . This country already trying to rebuild itself from the riots that hit all major cities. This performance was very much needed. People have said during this period was when they thought US was that close to total destruction with all that was goin on.

  • Blowin In The Wind is definately one of the greatest songs ever. It has been performed by many great people and I love every version.

  • Many thanks to YouTube for keeping this stuff and allowing us mortals to dip into their database, in a few years when the kids have seen through the x factor type crap and want to see real musicians its all here for them to be musically educated.

  • Those of you who saw this when it first aired, did you feel that this performance was also some sort of a political statement, a white country singer and black soul artist singing this song together? I wasn't even born when this was recorded and when I listen to this today I "just" hear this out-of-this-world performance, but I can imagine that back in the day this also made a big impression on another level. Anyone care to comment on that?

  • @BluebirdGuitar Wish they had played the whole song. It sounds absolutely incredible.

  • COUNTRY HAS MUCH GOSPEL IN IT. I CAN,T SEE HOW PEOPLE CAN'T HEAR THAT.

  • @birdstuckinchimney Yeah, he's infinitely more talented musically. Bob Dylan is much more of a poet than a musician.

  • This is the unlikeliest of duos singing the wrong song on television of all places, and yet.... wow. This is the first video I have ever watched more than once (three times) in succession. Who knew Stevie Wonder could sing Buck Owens? Who knew Glen Campbell could sing gospel? And who would ever have guessed how well their voices would blend on such an inspired arrangement of Blowin in the Wind? Thanks!
