Click Watch in High Quality. So, mum pulled out an old box film reels from the attic. One of the reels contained some 8mm footage of my uncle Jon on a school trip to Moroco in 1969.

The reel was projected using a Noris 8-super 100 projector onto a wide cine screen.

I filmed the projection with my Panasonic DVX100A.

  • please... next time set the shutter to 1/60 at the DVX or use the synch mode.. The image flickering is really distracting.

  • @KRAFTWERK2K6 Please....1. Its 8mm of course there is flickr. It was one of the original film mediums and the flicker ads to its unique texture. 2. I shot at a shutter speed of 1/50th not 1/60th because I live in the UK and we shoot Pal at 25p. 3. This was shot years ago and was one of the first films I made AND 4. If you find happiness in critisizing other people's work then I feel extremely sorry for you! Good day.

  • I have a super 100 aswell, however it needs repairing, do you know where i could get it repaired?

  • Unfortunatly my knowledge of this peice of historic equiptment is not what is should be. My only experience with it is turning it on when i got it out the atic. Try a google search, Sure there are places around which would do repairs....

  • oh god,,the guy says flicker distracting,,what a baby,,geez,,oh,,the fliker is too distracting,,i cant watch it,,oh,,oh,,oh,,,jesus christ,,

  • @KRAFTWERK2K6 Shut up kraftnerd. Just because it has a certain feature, doesn't mean you have to use it. And/or know about it... Get a life.

  • Super8 in fact doesn't flicker because the human eye is too slow to see it. A videocamera sensor works differently, so you have to adjust it. The 1/60 Shutter is only needed when things are running at 24fps and you need to synch the shutter to the image you're shooting. 24fps material and 1/50 shutter creates these flickering because it is not synch. Don't get my comment wrong. If you have a sophisticated professional camera, you should use every feature that it offers. I live in PAL regions too

  • brilliant, very well done.

  • Wonderful video! Music, color, 60's footage. Bravo.

  • nice presentation, the '69 footage is cool but I really liked your dvx100 footage. good color, light, and motion
