Today, Tzu Chi 360 US takes you to New Jersey to meet with our Tzu Chi Volunteers - Woo HsiohYi and Lin Ching Rong. They are the first Tzu Chi volunteers in Atlantic City.
Other than Las Vegas, Atlantic City is the second largest Casino in the U.S. Approximately 85% of the residents are employed within the casino industry.  Woo HsiohYi and his wife Lin Ching Rong are, like many, also employed within the casino. To maintain their livelihood, Woo HsiohYi has been working as a chef in the casino for 12 years, and Lin Ching Rong has been a table dealer. In order to avoid the addictive gambling environment and limiting their contact with the lifestyle, this particular couple does not stay at the casino after work. In 2003, they were introduced to Tzu Chi by DaAi TV, and since then, their lives have changed dramatically. They became Tzu Chi volunteers and introduced Tzu Chis missions to the Atlantic City community. In order to facilitate and expand Tzu Chis influence, they bought a house and donated it to serve as Tzu Chis office. Lets meet with this remarkable couple.
