Sandy(dog) was about a year here & Peanut about 8. It took about a year for them to adjust. The cat still isnt crazy about the dog but they will lay next to each other. Dachshunds seem to get along better w cats than other dogs. Your pets will get along eventually, once they realize neither is going anywhere ;)

She is a long hair mini..& female, that all contributes to the softer look than alot of Doxies. Shes a complete doll personalitywise as well.
