I went downtown today armed with my FlipCam and shot some video of the anti-SB5 rally taking place outside the state capitol in Columbus. A lot of firefighters, policemen and -women, teachers, and state employees rallying to maintain their collective bargaining rights. The situation here is similar to what turned into a week-long sit in in Madison, Wisconsin. I'll be interested to see what happens.
The music in this video is Dropkick Murphys' "Take 'Em Down," off their upcoming album "Going Out In Style," now streaming in support of the workers of Wisconsin (and presumably other places witnessing the same political chicanery).
And no, I'm not changing the tone of my channel or anything. This is just something I did today that I happened to film. More cover videos coming soon, I promise.
Instead of protesting, the real working people will do their voting at the ballot box.

I was there (all day) and this video really conveys what it felt like - the seemingly endless creativity of the Ohioans locked out of their own Statehouse - hours in the snow making up chants, getting constant supportive honks from passing cars (and blasts of support from a passing firetruck!) - making ourselves heard.
