In my opinion the greatest of worlds 3 current octivists. I base that on his resonace and projection. Yes, lower notes have been hit, but never with the sheer power of this man. Even when he resorts to a vocal fry, he projects it better than most singers in full voice! And, most importantly, his tone can certainly be described as beautiful dispite the overpowering masculinity. It truely honors the greatness of god.

  • There is a difference, though: Riley and Sumner sang with the microphone right at the lips; these Russian singers project their notes across a large space with no amplification. The nearest mike may be 50 feet away. That takes far more power.

  • @jqt5040: "Out of breath"??? It sounds like someone grabbed him by the nuts!

Seriously, though, his tone is superb.

  • this is AWSOME!!!!! i sing bass in church 1. cuz it's easy to follow and 2. tenor is hard for me to hit and i found this by tryin to find my vocal range. This makes me (and i'm one of the lowest bass singers in my ward) seem like a tenor.

  • Thats a monotone sumbitch.

  • @joaoggp Not a G0 - it's G1

  • @mstauk Those three are tenors - the *highest* male singing voice in the modal register -; this guy, on the other hand, is a bass - the lowest singing voice -, and one trained to produce this slow, solid sound ("basso profondo"). So yeah, of course they sound like little girls close to him.

  • @aceenigmax That's a G0!

  • I don't know how low these notes really are. They sound like pretty typical low end baritone notes, but with a very deep and dark tone.

  • This guy kicks the hell of the arses of Carreras, Domingo and Pavarotti... they sound like teenage girls now.

  • @aceenigmax A very well-executed vocal fry.

  • What was happening from 1:38-1:42??
