  • Yeah I remember that accident. I also remember one on the 400 involving a lorry driver near Woodbridge. To be honest though, the traffic most of the time flows at 120 - 130 km/h with an occasional "left lane" hero who slows it down. The government does seem to use a "momentum" of a bad accident rather well. I don't agree with racing on public streets as well, but sometimes when I am by myself on the road at night I wish i could get home "a little faster", lol.

  • @Blackmerc55

They LOVE using their own "toys" especially when the road clears, either city streets or highways, so that's mostly btwn 8pm and 7am also sometimes during the day when not much congestion out there, also be careful with the new HOV lanes on 404 and 403, at least 2 ppl in the car 2 use that lane.

Lorry driver? LOL Can u use the word 'truck' driver in UK, over here nobody knows what 'lorry' driver really means unless u watch trucking vids!

  • @401RoadWarrior Haha, thanks for the heads up! Every time I think of a truck, I think of an F150 or something similar, lol.

    All the best!

  • @Blackmerc55 Anytime, in the mean time one of the 'lorry' drivers I always enjoy watching his own YT vids:

  • Great video Chris

    Happy New Year!

  • @Blackmerc55 In politics it goes under "Never waste a good crisis", it all started with a very tragic traffic accident, two teen punks racing each other on Mt Pleasant south of St Clair in TO and one of them crashed into a cabbie and the cabbie died on the spot, so they used that tragic incident not just to ban racing on public streets (I fully agree with that) but to consider racing (even when just one car involved, like you can race against you LOL) as ANYTHING above 50 kph over PSL.

  • @401RoadWarrior Yup, I know about that law. There is honestly no harm in going fast especially when you are the only car on the road. Look at any country in Europe, speeds are a lot higher and there honestly not that many speed related fatalities. I think the government should focus on teaching people how to drive (lane discipline!!!) and not on passing absurd speed related bills through Parliament. Oh well, at least the bill where they wanted to limit all cars to 150 did not pass. :)

  • @Blackmerc55 After dark is full of traffic cops so be careful out there. And I guess you already know about the 50 kph over the Posted Speed Limit (PSL) law, in effect in all Ontario for over 2-3 years now, regardless if it's on a city street, rural road, highway, you name it, they seize your car for 7 days, suspended DL for some number of days I guess, a very hefty fine and with towing and storage over $2,000 in total fine plus very bad for the driving record.

  • Nice! A lot of potholes after the winter on that stretch (Jameson to Spadina)... I really like driving into Toronto after midnight, no cars, just a nice city line..

  • @401RoadWarrior ill tell em to go fuck themselves.we trontonians should stand up for our city.i know americains love our city.though if canada keeps syaing that ima blow it up some day SO FUCK ALL CANADIANS WHO SAY TORONTO SUCKS.
