There are performances and then there are the ones that really captivate you. Il Giardino Armonico are the masters at realising the emotional depth of a piece and expressing in such magnificent ways. its one thing to play a piece a written on the page, its another thing to interpret it and bring it to life and Il Giardino Armonico do that so well. MAGNIFICENT!

I AWARD THIS 5 LANCRETS...One realizes how silly,mechanical,Arte-Deco,and stale the other versions have been when one hears this.
This is simultaneously deeply meaningful,
whimsical,and enchanting.They have a way with atmosphere through their handling of the swelling and tempo of the phrase that is undeniable.The best "Parisien Quartet" is Italian
