West Bank court ruling brings victory - 29 July 2008

After a five year legal battle, Israel's high court decided to move a stretch of its separation barrier in the West Bank.

Al Jazeera's Jacky Rowland reports from the town of Jeyyus where the court's ruling is a small victory for Palestinian residents cut off from their own land.

The settlements on the other side of the green line are illegal by international law. The Israelis have been practicing ethnic cleansing of historical palestine for over half a century. Their existence depends on the elimination or at least minimization of Arab presence on the land. That is until they let go of their national dream of a racially pure country.

I know about Refusenik, Yesh Gvul. You can say "confused". The biased media is mainly contribute to the "blur". However, some of us just close their eyes, close their ears, ignorance, and I have to say to you, they are very SUPPORTIVE for this oppression. Why? Something else that could help-sometimes we win through "turning the other cheek": Most Israelis agree to the occupation not because they want to steal land(a few extremists do), but because they were convinced they'd die if they gave it up.
